Steelstown Primary School has coordinated the creation of seven mosaics
of the "I am....." sayings of Jesus Christ, for display in a recently developed
Prayer Garden at the See House, the residence of Bishop Ken Good,
Church of Ireland Bishop Of Derry and Raphoe.

The mosaics were the original idea of Mrs Mary Good, wife of Bishop Good and were
financed by Steelstown's Extended Schools Programme, in partnership with Ebrington P.S.,
Lisnagelvin P.S., St. Paul's P.S. and Shantallow Community Residents Association.

Year 7 pupils from the four schools took part in workshops held in Steelstown P.S. Art room
2 days per week from January to April 2007. The junior artists were supervised  by
classroom assistants from the schools, and by tutors, artists and volunteers from
Shantallow Community Residents Association.

The mosaics were formally presented to Bishop Good and his wife Mary on the 26th April 2007.
The Prayer Garden was officially opened on 19th May 2007 and a choir comprised of pupils
from the schools sang at the event.

A joint act of worship was organised by the schools and this took place in the Prayer Garden
on 19th June 2007.
